Note: these By-laws are not necessarily exhaustive and any matter prejudicial to the Club may be dealt with by the relevant Committee.
Club By-laws
- When not enough courts are available:
- tournament and competition-play have highest priority;
- scheduled coaching has next-highest priority;
- pre-bookings have next-highest priority.
This Rule applies before and after play has commenced.
- Except during any of the priority-usages described in Rule 1 or competition-practice, singles players must agree to requests by others to join in.
- Porous courts must be watered all over, as necessary - right to the fence - before play, and bagged after play.
- At least the high-traffic areas and any leaf-littered areas of carpet courts must be bagged after the end of use.
- Surface-appropriate footware must be worn when playing.
- Young children are not allowed in the clubhouse or to use the outdoor-play-equipment unless supervised.
- Unleashed dogs are not allowed in the clubhouse or grounds.
- Clubhouse and kitchen must be left tidy with floor swept.
- Last to leave must lock the clubhouse and front gate.
- Members may play with one guest per month, and the same guest once every three months. The member accompanying a guest must place a Visitor's Fee ($5) in an envelope with the name of the member and guest on it and place it in the letter box at the corner of Court 3 and the walkway before commencing play.
- If a member withdraws from a team chosen by the Club, without extenuating circumstances for that withdrawal and reasonable notice, the member will not be selected for any team for the next two consecutive seasons.
- Members are requested to report any acts of vandalism, particularly if witnessed.
- The General Management Committee may determine that a re-joining member is to be treated as a continuing member, if the prior membership ended less than two years before.
- The Entrance Fee paid by an immediate family of up to two persons aged 21 or more and any number of persons aged under 21 will not exceed the Entrance Fee payable by two persons aged 21 or more. The family will be credited with any Entrance Fee previously paid by a family member.
- Rule 14 applies correspondingly to Annual Fees.
